You all know the coordinators exist, but usually we sit in an office, type up emails, make schedules, and so on. All you get is “Best, (insert Coordinator Name here). But who are your Ambassador Coordinators?
Hi everyone! What’s doing? My name is Louis Vitti but you can call me Lou, LouMan, Baby Lou, Sweet Baby Lou, LouLou or anything else in between. I am in my third year here at Boston University in the Questrom School of Business studying Business Administration with a concentration in Business Law Studies and I am originally from Washington, New Jersey. I am super stoked to be spending this year as New and Continued Training Coordinator for the Admissions Ambassador program. I cannot wait to continue working with all of our veteran ambassadors and to meet our new ambassadors this year! I got my start in Admissions as an ambassador during my freshman year and then had the awesome opportunity to be a Summer Student Admissions Representative during the summer of 2014. I then continued my work with admissions during the 2014-2015 academic year as a Tour Captain and a Student Traveler. I loved my experience in admissions during the summer and academic year so much that I had to come back and be a coordinator for the 2015 Summer Student Admissions Representative program. Besides admissions, I fill my time with activities like the Catholic Student Association, Boston University Student Government and lots of eating. I am an avid foodie and love trying all of the restaurants in Boston so definitely ask me for suggestions. I’ll leave you with two quotes that I live by: “If you make someone laugh you give them a little vacation” from Winston Churchill and “Taco Bell is life” from me.
Hey Everyone! My name is Luke Walsh and I am a senior studying Psychology and minoring in education and will be serving as your Recruitment and Selection coordinator this upcoming year. I got involved with the Ambassador program during my sophomore year and will be serving as a coordinator for the first time this Fall. Outside of admissions I am an RA in Warren Towers, am involved with BU’s First Year Experience program, and am a member of the CAS Dean’s Hosts. My friends generally describe me as a kind, talkative, down to earth, and genuine person so I hope those qualities help me in my role as a coordinator. I look forward to getting to know all of you and to a great year.
Hi everyone! I’m Sophia Han and I am a senior studying Public Relations with a minor in Sociology in the College of Communication. I am very excited to be serving as the Communications Coordinator for BU Admissions. I first became an Admissions Ambassador at the beginning of my sophomore year and this summer I am serving on the Admissions Summer Staff. Outside of Admissions, I am involved with the First-Year Experience Program, FYSOP and greek life, as a sister of Sigma Kappa. My friends would describe me as personable, ambitious and intuitive.
Hello, I am Veronica Cadavid, and I am one of the ASDB Coordinators. I’m a current senior in the Questrom School of Business, studying Business Administration and Finance. I am on my fourth year as an ambassador and my second year as a coordinator. Outside of Admissions, I am a sister of Sigma Delta Tau. The people I know would describe me as loyal, energetic, and funny, and I’d like to say that one word to describe me is happy.
My name is Jonea Weekley and I am a rising junior in the Questrom School of Business studying Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and management information systems. I am also pursuing a minor in sociology to complement my business studies. This fall will be my second year as an ASDB coordinator but I have been involved with admissions as an ambassador since my freshmen year at BU. This summer I am working as a summer staff coordinator in the admissions office to keep the building running as we welcome thousands of guests. Outside of admissions, I also serve as a coordinator for Sister’s United a branch of Umoja, the black student union on campus. I have been described as focused, dynamic and forward thinking individual. Some of my favorite things to do in my downtime include eating, taking naps and online shopping. One of my favorite quotes to live by is “In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.”
Hey BU! I’m Sofia Yohannes, a senior in Health Sciences and Public Health in Sargent. I’ve been an ambassador for four years, and going on a second year as a coordinator. Other than being an ambassador, I have also been a part of the African Students Organization, a Global Medical Brigader, a former College of General Studies Dean’s Host, and part of Fystaff. My friends and family describe me talkative, outgoing, and funny. Most recently, I am very excited to serve as an RA in Student Village I. If somebody were to ask me what is the one word to describe me, it would be enthusiastic (maybe a little to much sometimes).
Hey folks, I’m DJ Rock (yes, really) and I’m the newest ASDB Coordinator! I’m a junior in COM majoring in journalism and minoring in political science. I’ve been involved with Admissions since my freshman year, as an Ambassador, Tour Captain, and ASDB member. When I’m not at 233, I’m usually either at WTBU, where I’m the General Manager, or the Community Service Center, where I’m a Program Manager for Afterschool. In my very little free time, I enjoy going to concerts, listening to podcasts, and watching documentaries. I’ll be spending this summer in Boston, as one of the Gender & Sexuality Coordinators for FYSOP!
