Major: Science Education with a Concentration in Physics

Favorite thing about SED?
The privilege to go into and work in actual classrooms for many of your classes. It gives you experience and you also get to immediately work with teachers and kids. I’m currently doing my pre-practicum and I get excited for every Monday when I go into a high school class. It makes me feel like I’m already part of the profession.
What is the one piece of advice you would give to prospective terriers?
Explore BU and explore Boston. There is no “typical BU experience.” BU gives a huge variety of courses, clubs, events, and experiences and it’s up to you to take advantage of them and shape your own personal experience. Just get out there, figure out what you want your college experience to look like and do it!
What are you passionate about?
Of course physics (Why else would I want to teach it?), but also hockey. I could probably talk about hockey for hours on end and still have more to say! After those two, probably video games.
Name three materialistic things you can’t live without:
My computer, 3DS, and a notebook for writing
Best BU experience you have had throughout your 3 years here thus far?
Definitely the hockey season last year! We finally won the Beanpot and the Hockey East tournament and made it to the Frozen Four! (Let’s not talk about that last game though…)
